Fiction meme
Fiction related, that's why I chose to put it on my on my fic journal.
I don't remember where I saw this - it wasn't on my f-list, and it was a while ago, but as it was cool... Five fics of mine I'm proud of. I figured I'd do one per fandom, with possible runner-ups.
1.A Year of the Mistletoe - the first long fic I finished and posted anywhere. CI5: The New Professionals, Sam Curtis/Chris Keel. Silly title, silly fic I'm not sure I wanna read again but... still kinda proud. Can still be found at http://www.ci5ops.co.uk/ where the archive for some reason shows most of my stories as 'not complete'. Oh well. The archive also has the first fic I *ever* posted anywhere. *Cringe* Never want to read that one again...
2. Fight is the first WWE fic I ever finished, and... can't believe *I* wrote it. I still think it works. Blimey. Am also still proud of Bound and Home Is...... but Fight takes the lead. Enough is kinda like Fight in that it is a stylistic experiment, written as if possessed, and I can't quite believe it's mine either.
3. Altered Visions... again couldn't come up with a decent title, as you can see, but... my first Star Wars story, and I think it's okay.
4. Etiquette, my Narnia fic. I didn't think I could write it, and I am still kind of happy with the way it turned out.
5. Of my Gabriel Knight stories, I had to choose The Relative Brightness Inside. I think I'm more proud of that than The Colour of Sin even if Friedrich's 'voice' is much more like him in the latter.
And while I'm at it... stories I hope to finish one day. Those that I am posting anywhere are more or less planned or written so they *must* be finished, sooner or later, but these are hanging around on my hard drive...
1. Fear of Ghosts
Epic(...) crossover between The Professionals and the New Profs. (Bodie/Doyle, Sam/Chris)
2. The Road trip
Edge/Jericho... Kinda finished, but I doubt I'll ever actually have the courage to post it anywhere because it's ... parts of it I like, parts are just... dodgy.
3. Tainted
Dead or Alive femslash, inspired by the DOAX opening movie. Helena/Christie. Parts of it written, parts of it drawn as a comic, we'll see if anything ever comes out of it...
4. Queen of Swords & King of Wands
A Queen of Swords fic. The first het fan fic I ever started and ... it was a big deal for me to have to admit to myself I was writing fan fiction. I mean, I had only ever written slash of The New Profs, and that's just because... because the show had potential they did not explore. Right. Tessa/Helm romance. Most of it is done, but I ran out of steam for the last chapters.
5. Edge of the World
My WWE AU about secret agents. Honestly. Edge/Jericho, of course.
And some stories I wish I'll be able to write some day:
1. My Epic Star Control II slash fic
Commander Hayes. Mmmmmmmm. Hayes. Maybe when I get a computer of my own I can play it again and be inspired...;) But who will read it?!
2. My one and only Highlander (the Series) fic... I love Methos. I can't write him. I have one and only one scene in my head I think I can pull off... maybe, just maybe...
3. House/Wilson stories I might never write because I am *not* very confident about the medical side of the show and feel the stories would be a bit lacking because of that. But there's this one scene that will not leave me alone...
4. 2 Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan stories I've almost finished in my head but never got on paper. One has badgers in it. The other one is more like social commentary.
