Fic: Patter of Little Paws (WWE, Edge/Jericho)
Meant to post this on Valentine's Day. Written last year as a change of pace from my NaNo novel(s). Not the fic I should be posting, I know, sorry:(
Title: Patter of Little Paws
Writer: Niki
Fandom: WWE
Pairing: Chris/Adam
Rating: U, G, K, depending on your corner of the world.
Summary: Two days later there were three tiny rabbit babies on the shelf.
Notes: Part of the "Pink Wabbit" series - so far in the AU land that has very little to do with the original fandom...
schmoop_bingo prompt: wild card: stuffed animals (could have been 'pets' or 'kidfic' as well;)
Warnings: Fluffy fluff.
Adam yawned and silenced the alarm clock with a careless sweep. He turned his head only to find out Chris hadn't even woken up to the alarm. The sight of his sleeping lover brought a smile to his face, even after all these years.
He got up silently, thinking he'd make the breakfast before waking the other man. He pulled on a pair of jeans, cold from lying on the floor all night. Out of habit, he glanced at the rabbits on the bookshelf by the door and whispered his good mornings to Lady and Mr Wabbit.
He blinked. Then rubbed his eyes with both hands, then blinked again.
There were three pink rabbits on the shelf. Lady, Mr Wabbit and... a tiny bunny baby. What? It took his sleepy brain a moment to catch up, then he almost burst in laughter. Cute, Chris. Very cute. I get a girlfriend for our rabbit so you get them a baby.
He went on to make breakfast without further thought. A little later he woke up his sleeping love with a kiss and a cuddle, and the rabbits were forgotten.
But later that day he saw another tiny pink rabbit in a window of a gift shop, so he popped in to buy it. Two could play this game.

When they reached eight Adam decided enough was enough. Quite apart from what real rabbits were like, he couldn't let the cuddly kind take over their apartment.
"I think they brood's big enough already," he said that night, snuggling with Chris in the bed. That was the first reference either one had made to the subject.
"Well, you started it," Chris replied cheekily.
"No, you did, I just followed your lead!"
"Hey, I didn't start until you'd already gotten us two!"
"Stop kidding, I only got the second one because you'd gotten the first one."
"Adam, stop trying to spook me, I did not get the first one."
"Well neither did I!"
They were both getting angry now, but realisation of their mutual truthfulness killed the anger and had them sitting up on the bed, looking at the tiny rabbit family.
"No. Nononononono, I refuse to believe stuffed animals procreate."
"There has to be a logical explanation to this."
"Are you sure you didn't get the first one?"
"Well, I haven't been shopping in my sleep for years now, so..."
They sat in silence for a long while, then suddenly looked each other with similar expressions and said "Lita!" in unison.
"She has the key," Adam said, menacingly.
"And I bet she had help, too," Chris concluded, thinking about everyone who had been at their house warming party. Terry in particular came to mind.
They stared at the pink fluffy creatures in silence for a while longer.
"They do look happy," Adam said in the end.
"Yeah," Chris admitted.
"So it would be totally wrong to take revenge on the culprits behind this."
"Totally," Chris agreed.
"I'm thinking pink glitter in their shampoo before the show, myself," Adam said conversationally.
"And that," said Chris, pulling him back to lie on the bed, "is why I love you."
